On October 14, 2010 Ambassador of Ukraine to Libya Mr. Mykola Nahornyi met Executive Director of Libya’s Human Rights Association Mr. Muhammad Tarnesh.

During the meeting parties discussed the current Ukrainian-Libyan cooperation and prospects of its further development in cultural-humanitarian sphere, as well as rights defence.

Mr. M.Tarnesh thanked for Ukraine’s support given to Libya on the elections to UN Human Rights Council for the term of 2010-2013, that took place in May 2010.

In the framework of discussion of the issues related to the working conditions of Ukrainian medical staff in Libya, the Head of Libyan Association expressed his readiness to provide Ukrainian citizens working in Libyan Arab Jamahiriya with possible support in order to defend their rights and interests.
