On 24 October 2010 Ambassador of Ukraine to Libya Mykola Nahornyi met with Editor-in-Chief of the Libyan National Press Agency Jana Ahmad Khalaf.

The parties discussed the current state of Ukrainian-Libyan cooperation in the information area and ways of its further strengthening, in particular, through establishing direct contacts between Ukrainian and Libyan mass media.

In this context Mykola Nahornyi and Ahmad Khalaf agreed to explore the possibility of signing, at an earliest convenience, a Memorandum on Cooperation between Ukrainian and Libyan Press Agencies Ukrinform and Jana.
