The Head of Libya’s Supreme Court Kamal Dagan visited Ukraine on July 2-7, 2013 to discuss mutual cooperation in the judicial area.
The Vice-Prime-Minister of Ukraine Kostiantyn Hryshchenko visited Libya on July 31, 2013 in order to discuss a number of current issues.

A meeting of Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Leonid Kozhara with his Libyan counterpart Mohammed Abdel Aziz was held on September 25, 2013 at the 68th session of the UN General Assembly.

Bilateral high-level state bodies: Ukrainian-Libyan Bilateral Inter-Governmental Commission on Cooperation (5 sessions held in 1995, 2001, 2003, 2009, 2010).
The Libyan delegation voted for the UN General Assembly resolution "Territorial integrity of Ukraine" on March 27, 2014 and abstained during voting within the UN General Assembly on the Ukrainian draft resolution "Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Ukraine)" in 2016 and 2017.
In 2018, the consultations were held in the context of adoption of the UN General Assembly draft resolutions "Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, Ukraine" (October, the Libyan side abstained during the vote), "The problem of militarization of the Autonomous Republic Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine), as well as parts of the Black and Azov Seas” (December, the Libyan side did not vote), as well as in the context of informing the Libyan side on the attack of Russian military personnel on the Ukrainian Navy's navy in the Kerch Strait (November).
The State of Libya co-sponsored the resolution "Cooperation with and Assistance to Ukraine in the Field of Human Rights", initiated by Ukraine, which was adopted by the UN Human Rights Council on July 13, 2021.
Taking into account the relocation of the Embassy from Tripoli to Tunis in early 2015 bilateral political contacts during past three years have being maintained mainly through personal meetings and phone contacts between the head of the diplomatic mission and the Libyan official representatives. In the framework of working visits to Libya in 2018, the Ambassador met with the Chairman of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord of the State of Libya Fayez As-Sarraj and Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord of the State of Libya Mohammed Syalla.
Ukraine consistently supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Libya.
Ukraine advocates compliance with the international embargo on arms supplies to Libya and calls for immediate withdrawal of the illegal armed groups and military equipment as well as fighters and mercenaries from the territory of Libya.
Ukraine calls on the Libyan interim executive bodies - the Government of National Unity and the Presidential Council, as well as on the legislative branch represented by House of Representatives and the High Council of State to adopt the necessary constitutional and legislative arrangements in order to hold the national Presidential and Parliamentary elections on 24 December 2021 as agreed in the Roadmap adopted by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum.
We emphasize the importance of the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2570 (2021), in particular with regard to the deployment on the Libyan territory of the UNSMIL ceasefire monitoring component. We support the Libyan-led and Libyan-owned ceasefire monitoring mechanism.
