On 31 October 2010 Ambassador of Ukraine to Libya Mr. Mykola Nahornyi met with Secretary of General People’s Committee for Health and Environment, Deputy Head of the Libyan Component in the Ukrainian-Libyan Bilateral Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation Mr. Mohammad Al-Hidjazi.

Current state and prospects of joint cooperation in the healthcare area were discussed during the meeting. The Minister noted the top-level professionalism of Ukrainian medical staff working in Libya under private contracts and expressed his interest in further employing nationals of Ukraine to work in the Libyan healthcare sector.

The parties also exchanged ideas on the upcoming Fifth Meeting of the Ukrainian-Libyan Bilateral Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation, which is to take place in Tripoli at the end of November.
