On May, 5 the Ambassador of Ukraine in Libya H.E. Mr. Hennadii Latii held a meeting with the Secretary of General People’s Committee (Minister) of Health and Environment Protection Mr. Mohamed Al-Hijazi.

The Ambassador drew the Minister’s attention to a range of problematic issues concerning Ukrainian medical specialists’ work and accommodation conditions in Jamahiriya. Special attention in this regard was paid to a mechanism of implementation of new normative acts of the Libyan labor law.

M.Al-Hijazi confirmed the intention to continue cooperation between the two States in the sphere of employment of Ukrainian medical specialists at health care institutions of the Great Jamahiriya, repeatedly expressing his high appreciation to their qualification level.

The Ambassador from his part stressed upon the necessity to ensure rights and interests of the Ukrainian medical personnel in Libya, underlining the importance of attentive consideration to be given on the level of hospital administrations as well as that of General People’s Committee to requests coming from Ukrainian citizens.
