The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has condemned the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi (Libya), in which the U.S. ambassador and several other U.S. citizens were killed.

The Ministry expressed its condolences to the families and friends of the victims and to the U.S. government.

"We are calling on the Libyan authorities to take all of the necessary measures to ensure the safety of foreign diplomatic missions accredited on the territory of this country, including the Embassy of Ukraine. We expect the Libyan side to conduct a complete investigation and bring to justice those responsible for the armed attack," the ministry said.
