On October 3, 2010, according to the present protocol in Jamahiriya, Ambassador of Ukraine to Libya H.E. Mr. Mykola Nahornyi presented his Credentials to the Secretary of the General People’s Congress of Libya H.E. Mr. Mohamed Az-Zawei.

During the meeting taking place in the framework of the official ceremony, the Parties stressed existing high-level political dialogue between Ukraine and Libya. The current state and prospects of the Ukrainian-Libyan relations development were discussed.

The Parties made special attention on great potential for the extension of bilateral cooperation, in particular in the spheres of oil and gas, aircraft industry, agriculture, health care and high education.

The Chairman of Libyan parliament expressed the hope that all mutual events, which are to be taken in the nearest future, would stimulate bilateral cooperation and enable to obtain its new level.

The Secretary of the General People’s Congress wished to newly-appointed Ambassador of Ukraine every success in his work and insured to support the efforts aimed to develop Ukrainian-Libyan relations.
